Context
Smartmates maintains separate regional websites for Australia and New Zealand. This case study brings my website work into one story while preserving each regional context.
The public sites are Smartmates Australia and Smartmates New Zealand.
My contribution
As a Software Engineer at Smartmates, I developed and maintained websites, contributed to SEO-friendly content, and supported business needs through practical web delivery.
Technical approach
I worked with WordPress, cPanel, and MySQL on the regional sites. My delivery and maintenance work considered performance improvement, SEO optimization, engagement, and lead-generation goals.
Key decisions
I present the Australia and New Zealand sites together because they share the same maintenance and growth-oriented delivery context, while keeping their regional focus distinct. The case study avoids operational details that are not appropriate to publish.
Outcome
My work supported the maintenance and improvement of both regional web presences. Results are described qualitatively because no approved performance, conversion, revenue, or user metrics are available for publication.
Reflection
Working across related regional sites highlights the importance of balancing reusable delivery practices with local audience and content needs. Future improvements should remain driven by approved business priorities and verified site data.
